INTERNSHIP PROFILE – MAIN TASKS

·         Research on issues relevant for JOIN (EU legislation, information requests etc.)
·         Attendance of and providing reports on conferences, panels, hearings and seminars in the various (EU)
institutions represented in Brussels
·         Standard administrative work and daily office tasks
·         Writing and editing the JOIN newsletter and managing the website
·         Organising meetings, seminars etc.
·         Reviewing and editing working documents and articles, composing letters, preparation of Powerpoint
presentations etc.

INTERNSHIP PROFILE – REQUIREMENTS

·         You are in or at the end of a Master’s programme in social sciences, economics, law or similar
·         You have already been able to gain experience in an international environment, either through studies or other activities abroad
·         You have basic knowledge of international cooperation and of the political system of the EU
·         Fluency in English (German and/or French and other European languages are an asset)
·         Good communication skills and an attitude of providing services to others
·         Ability to work with the standard MS Office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
·         Willingness to attend occasional evening events
·         Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary context
·         Interest in the work of NGOs at European level; previous experience with the work of aid organisations, youth
organisations or charities is an asset
